This was an SMS conversation between a wonderful brother-sister pair!It was the brother’s birthday. It came five days after the girl celebrated her 18th birthday and he had forgotten to wish her then. The sister sent him this message.“Let me tell you a story! The reply she received was:“The brother would have said, “How could I forget June 23rd? Even if I was caught up with some serious work at office, I have no excuses to make! My sincere apologies… but she is the same sister whom I held when she was less than 10 kg. Even though the words didn’t come through on time, she knows what her brother has in mind, doesn’t she? The sister hadn’t even read the last line completely…her eyes were burning with tears! She was tongue-tied! She was waiting for her college bus when she read the SMS. It took her sometime to realise that people on road were watching her! She pretended to clear the dust from her eyes, as if it had caused her to cry but she was actually trying to sweep off the doubts she had harboured about her brother’s love for her. The sister is none other than me! Love you brother.
