Endomorphic man is one of the more challenged on the physical front. The body frame is large and rounded and soft all around. The human body stores fat around the belly for men and around the hips for women. Celebrity Endomorphs: Zach Galifianakis/ Jack Black

Core essentials

Well fitted suit: The endomorphs are most likely to look best in the British fit of suiting. High-chested suit patterns are recommended to take away the line of sight from the mid section to the chest. Wearing a slightly more casual and loosely fitted elements like stick out pockets or panels is highly recommended as it would again take away the attention from the problem areas. The idea being clothing should draw the onlooker’s eyes towards the face and away from the body!

Well tailored, well fitted shirt: Endomorphs have it quite hard in terms of shirting as it’s almost impossible to hide imperfections when it comes to men. What is recommended is to wear loosely fitted clothing and shirts that are not too fitted around the neck, and in dark colours. The fall of the fabric around the body will definitely morph the actual curves.

Kurta: They are likely to best suit the kurta as it’s not got the most defined fit pattern and it’s likely to cover more than the torso to the waist and almost until the knee. Adding a shawl would add to the whole ensemble.

Bottoms: The most important factor is to wear the trouser on the natural waist line as the lower it goes the more the belly is likely to show and protrude and that is exactly not what we want. Try to get enough allowance on the seat of the trouser and a stylish belt around the waist for the same reason, and please do NOT carry the wallets in the back pockets!

Accessories: Endomorphs actually have accessories aplenty… Suspenders will add character and also serve to hold the trouser up in place. If you are wearing a belt avoid bold belt buckles which can act like a bull’s eye pointing attention like an arrow to your waist. Wide belts make you look wider. Look for styles with vertical lines such as high temples and a high nose bridge. Try glasses with wide frames to span your face. Rimless glasses add length to your face. Large or wide noses look best with low bridges in clear or metal (no dark colours, please).
