Are you a vampaholic? So am I!

The new trendsetters of the coming decade are supposedly vampires. The “evil gone good” bloodsuckers are everyone’s favourite these days. The vampires are not mean or cruel; rather they are understanding, considerate and caring “people” whose diet is animal blood (not human blood). Edward Cullen of Twilight fame was the bloodthirsty heartthrob who stole a billion hearts before the Salvatore brothers stepped in. These vampires set female hearts around the world racing. The Facebook page entitled “FORGET A PRINCE WITH A HORSE, I WANT A VAMPIRE WITH A VOLVO has 3,743 fans; most of its members are girls.

Though Edward, Emmet and Jasper Cullen rule worldwide, the Salvatore brothers don’t lag behind.  Damon is unusual and different compared to his brother Stefan and enjoys killing and devouring blood of innocent lives. But that doesn’t seem to be a problem with the girls. “Come on! He’s a vampire; that is his food. He might be hungry!” says a friend in his defence. Girls go gaga over vampires nowadays and it is the talk of the town. With our minds on a fantasy-overdrive, and hearts warming up to vampires, it looks like Spiderman’s out, and Dracula’s in!
