The love of veena

When i reached my IX std I started learning to play veena not because I was interested in it but because most of my friends were doing so. At that time it was just a hobby, to tell the truth I attented classes just to have fun with my friends, but one day to my greatest surprise my teacher told me that I am learning veena fsster than others  and if I start practising at home i can reach the next level easily. This made me very curious as most of my friends were in the next level, so I spent hours practising veena at home which made me realise the actual pleasure in it.

Even after 2 hours of practise I was not tired but was active than usual, I also became academically strong (true of course), I spent more hours with it, it had the same effect as meditation and yoga (I can tell u because I tried my hands in them ). It served me in two way purpose I developed a talent, I started participating in competions and school culturals (and yes I won prizes) at the same time it gave me peace of mind and made me calm which seriously helped me take right decisions. In ths fast world all of us encourage double offer and i think developing an hobby or a talent as such helps a lot especially for students who really need a break inspite of  all their busy study schedule. It increases concentration level. It is not just advise but experience that speaks. It was just for fun I started but now it has become a part of me thanks to my veena .
