Good times etched on furniture

The Advantages of defacing school property (yeah, you read that right):

Rough.Uneven.The desk was totally covered with doodles and comments made not only by seniors who had left school long ago,but by students from my very own class as well.
I remember telling someone off for scribbling on it when I  was serving my term as one of the school’s ministers. It seemed like sacrilege to me at that time-defacing school property. Now the battered desk was working wonders of its own -it was clearly taking me on a trip down memory lane!

‘The terrific threesome’ was etched on by the three naughtiest boys of our class, who had signed their names underneath a slogan:one for all and all for one. Suprisingly someone had written my name too-under a cartoon drawing of a chimpanzee!I’m pretty sure it was my best friend’s idea…’East or west,class12 of 05-06 is the best’ was scribbled on by the seniors. If those ex-students ever come back and have a look at this…I’m pretty sure a part of their old school memories will come flying back to them. Caricatures of our favorite pop stars competed for space with our cartoon version of classmates’ dream makeover into celebrities (One smart alec had crowned himself Shah Rukh Khan). Seemed as if all our thoughts and wild memories were imprinted on this wooden surface.

Controlling my tears was next to impossible. The stain from Jo’s ink bottle was a blotchy reminder of the fun and good times we had shared.  whip out, no, not a marker, a camera and snap a picture of the infamous dirty desk..but not without having all my classmates pose around it.Rock on,class 12 of 08-09…Rock on!!!
