It’s an unconventional cool night in Chennai and am at the terrace, looking at the billions of twinkles in the black never ending blanket. This star gazing sends my senses ruminating about the concept of “star gazing”. Muddled memories return to my relaxed mind. Thoroughly famished from an exhaustive day at school, I switch on the TV for some stress busting , surfing one channel after another, each of which invariably have the “so called” stars chatting their way to deception with so called personal “facts”. Bugged with these, I desperately tune into a news channel and am hit on the face with an exclusive story of Ms. Controversy Palin…Sigh! Not able to digest these, I sit thinking. Why is every channel suddenly having these shows? Is it just because people these days are obsessed with knowing why Miley is wriggling out of her Hannah fame or why Deepika denied the UV (yuvi) protection? Then it strikes me — special programs aired for Oct. 2!!! Great way indeed, to honour the Mahatma.
