SOUND BYTES A truly special evening with the performances of some beloved bands. HUDSTIN FERNANDEZ

The evening at Unwind Centere Adyar was not just another usual Friday session; it had a treat for the local audience as “Lounge Piranha” of Bangalore dropped by to play a few of their tunes. The show commenced at 7 with No Safe Word taking stage, playing some of their originals. The band plays an undefined genre of music, but the crowd loved them for their humorous front man Kishore.

At around 8 in the evening the band had finished with their slot for the day and it was time to welcome the Bengaluru musicians Lounge Piranha. The band is well know for its ambient sounds and effects as they introduced themselves with an instrumental that was driven by effects.

After which they played their original “The Gun Song” followed by other songs from their album such as “Ebb”, “Teenage Curse”, “Snakes and Lotuses” and “Eclat”. The band has also played a few new tracks which were hard hitting. The band also was found with a few changes in the line up; their old bass player was replaced with a female bass player called Shalini who did a pretty good job for with the band. Apart from this the band also had an additional member to monitor their sound and technical aspects while they were playing live. The crowd seen that evening were mostly college and school going teenagers.
