Respect goes a long way

Brother, how much does that key-chain cost? This is how I address shopkeepers! Not only shopkeepers… be it waiters or maids or our car driver or the sales people in shops I address them as I would a relative. I do not know how many people have the same habit! Because I have not seen many people respecting those who work under them. I was literally shocked when a friend of mine called her car driver “moron” just because he did not turn up on time to college to pick her up. Another friend mocked at me for showing some respect to the waiter by calling him as brother.

Dependence

I personally think that we are more dependent on them than they are on us. We need servants to keep our homes clean, we need drivers in case we do not know driving, we need waiters to serve us in the hotels… I can quote hundreds of examples. Yes, of course we pay them for the work they do for us. But that does not mean they should be treated without respect. At least we being the next generation should be kind to those who work under us. If you want to see the true measure of man, watch how he treats his inferiors, not his equals - J.K.Rowling. All of us should bear this in mind and give those people who work for us the due respect… for we are the ones who are enjoying the fruit of their labour!
